Hello! I’ve downloaded the utility theme for our website, but, i would like to know if there is any way to change the logo size, because 144×60 is a little bit small.

To change the size of logo you need to a small change in code.
Open config_variables.php inside theme folder.
Search for these lines.
define( ‘HEADER_IMAGE_WIDTH’, 144);
define( ‘HEADER_IMAGE_HEIGHT’, 60);
That is the way you can change width and height.
Say I love this theme and want to switch over to it, however I am also having a similar issue to Brian (above) I get the following error on the top of the Utilities Settings page

Also when I try to add any of my own widgets tot he sidebar It causes the existing widgets to disappear, including the image slider.
Very slick theme, I am looking forward to resolving these issues and making the switch for multiple websites that I host.

The second issue that you have mentioned, i think it happens in every theme and reason is if you don’t want to show default sidebar of theme. So it has been done intentionally.
Ok, but the image slider at the top of the sidebar is the real stand out feature of this theme. If I add widgets and it cans the image slider, then it defeats the whole purpose of the theme for me. May have to stick with what i am using.
and coincidentally that takes your theme from “highly customizable”
to not customizable at all.

Okay, i do something.
Just a thought, you could make the jquery slider and the other items into custom theme specific widgets, so a person could add them or remove them through the widget interface. I do not know a lot about things on the coding end but I have seen other themes that use this method very effectively. Thanks for your hard work, I predict this theme will be very popular once it is sorted out. Happy coding!
or alternately you could add a second widget area below the default one so that fols could still turn the standard widgets you provide through the current interface and still add widgets below it in the second widget area. That me be an easier fix on the code end that custom widgets for each item

Even i have done the same thing. Now i will provide 3 widget areas in RHS sidebar. Default sections of theme can be disabled from the adminpanel and anything new can be added via Widgets.
I’ll submit new theme today and it takes somewhere around one week to approve the theme, till that time if you want to see the functionality i can send latest version of theme through email.

Biz Box Technology is in the process of moving to a WordPress site, and the main question is “can you change the color scheme?”
For now, there is an option to change the background only.
Complete color scheme cann’t be changed in this version.
How many sub category menu allowed, so i can add more sub category displayed under category menu.
You can display up to 3 levels.

i meant the sliding sidebar images
There are two ways of doing it.
(1) Either you add images in your post and it will pick the first image and display it in sliding sidebar.
(2) You can add featured image while creating new post.

I changed one thing in the fucntions.php
and my whole site went down! fair enough!

but then I couldn’t log into my WP admin!
well most people would panic! but I dn loaded the file from FTP and edited by hand and re-uploaded…and it’s fine!
but why did this happen? I have two coders working on the back end of this site and building custom plugins etc! I like ur template and I dont wanna re build it from scratch! but the fear that I could lose my WP log in…is not good, when I have half a doezen people who need to log in daily!
I will pay you to custom this template. or I’ll pay someone to rebuild from scratch.

Nice theme. My consultant thinks so to. Just ran into a strange problem. Pages were showing my Adsense ads in the beginning but now only show a light yellow square where the ad should be. What happened?

Beautiful theme. Having trouble with full articles not opening when chosen from categories or pages on sidebar widgets. It says “continue reading” after an excerpt, but it never goes to the full piece. Can you help?

I don’t think this issue is related with theme. It looks like SMTP or some other setting is missing on your server end.
Still I’ll install the plugin and get back to you accordingly.

It is because of extra blank lines that are coming after ?> tag in PHP file adminpanel/adminpanel.php
Let me update this theme and if this error is coming on front end of your site then you can remove those blank lines yourself.

I’m having the same problems – I had originally modified some of the code to work for me (header logo dimensions, colors) but now all of those customized elements have gone away and I can’t change them. I get the same error message.
Yes, that is every theme. Once you update any theme your previous changes will be lost.
Are you getting that error on all screens?
On many of them. Updating theme files, uploading photographs, lots of places. Should re-update the theme and those error messages should be gone?
